Pass Plus
The Pass Plus test is not a separate test but rather a practical training course designed to enhance the skills of newly qualified drivers in the United Kingdom. This voluntary program, often taken after passing the standard driving test, aims to provide additional experience in various driving conditions. The Pass Plus course covers six modules, including driving at night, in adverse weather, on rural roads, on dual carriageways, and on motorways, as well as in busy urban environments. Although there is no formal test at the end, participants are assessed by a Pass Plus registered instructor throughout the training. Completion of the course can lead to increased confidence and competence on the road, and some insurance providers may offer discounts to individuals who have successfully undertaken the Pass Plus training.
